hmmm ST165/85 left driveshaft would fit, but only the left you can't use the right, otherwise try a camry driveshaft (are they any stronger anyone know?)
The main shaft actually sheared behind the hub net, yeah that wouldn't have to do with power though, if it was a power problem the cv would just shit itself and would spin freely, (happened to me) sounds like too much stress, are you doing the nuts up to the right torque?
