you have three options for triggering transitorized ignition.

1. Use the points as a switch instead of a current path. Means you can keep your standard dizzy. Will require an ignitor that can use points switching as a trigger. Jaycar has a kit.

2. Find an 18rg elec. dizzy. Harder to find, but should be a direct swap in. Could use the ignitor from 18rg setup to, all swaps over.

3. Gut 18rc dizzy and put in 21rc/22re gear in it. I'm not sure how hard this is to do. I've heard of someone on here doing it. I think holes had to be redrilled?? This setup you could also take the ignitor from the donor car for ease of installation.
