the 3TGTE's ignition system is not controlled by the factory computer, it uses conventional vacuum & weights for advance, so you can do what you want with it and it wont affect the computer.

as for the sub, i had an RX4 with the tank in the boot, and you could definately hear the sub, but forget the fully sic subwoofer & do some mods on the motor! engine kilowatts are far sweeter sounding than amplifier watts!
