I can sympathise with that - just be glad that it's not a SAAB.
Had a mate who bought an 80's SAAB for less than $3k. Parked it on a hill and it rolled down and hit a telephone post. Fortunately no damage to other cars / property but the repair parts required came to about $4k or so.
You can guess but the car was scrapped as a result ...
