i cant understand why you guys have cars that prime on ignition, i know nissans and almost every other car has that system but the fuel pump should turn on only when,.....
a) key is turned to start,(STA terminal)
b) engine revolution is occuring,(fc terminal, controlled by the computer to operate when the engine is turning, this may have been why the wires near the dizzy turned on the fuel pump)
although i dont profess to know every thing, this has been the case with both a factory-fitted 4ag in an ae86, and an engine conversion.
from the diagram i assume that the camry also doesn't prime when the key is turned to ignition, as there is no connection of the ign and sta circuits, only tha STA signal and the movement of the airflow meter (when running) will run the fuel pump.
