The last one i used was 100-150% thinners, so thats equal mix of paint and thinners or 1.5 times the mix with thinners. Always ask for a data sheet if its a product you are not used to using. The shine is one reason for using the clear coat but its also to prevent small chips from showing up the undercoats, different colours or metal. Of course heavy chips will go straight through. It also allows you to buff and shine away without fear of wearing through your applied colour. You won't need to worry about the drying times listed above as they are more for two pack as mentioned in the posts. Gentle sand and spray away! Personally because my car is not for show i wouldn't do the engine bay in clear coat. [Report message to a moderator]
