oh, i should add, we tried to melt thru the pipe with a soldering iron and couldn't do it...
we use the pipe at the end of an alumina tube on a 1300C furnace.. the conact temp between the tubes is around 200C and has been on there for... maybe a year AT TEMPERATURE already and going strong.
it looks very well made... well reinforced, and the colour layer is only on the outside (maybe outer 1mm)
the inside is always blue i think...
