It's interesting, try this, remove the scoop that is pop riveted to the round air filter box. Then rotate the mouth that is now visible towards the inner right guard. You'll see it fits in the factory hole there almost perfectly.
Strange isn't it, as if toyota had originally designed it to be hooked up that way to suck cold air through the guard but then changed their mind.
Run it on optimax or ultimate and set the timing to 14deg base timing instead of 10. Should give you a few ponies. Probably 5, he he he he:) enjoy
