In past weeks there have been as many posts related to the sprinter as there have been to almost all the other cars combined. When you combine this with the inane ever-repeated questions aimed at "low cost" drifting it fair raises the hackles of those reading the posts and I can quite understand and agree with the sentiment. There is also a trend on the board for rarity-factor being cool. As soon as something becomes popular, then it's not cool anymore. Sadly, the Sprinter seems to be the car in the spotlight at the moment (for better or worse) and so to the board incumbents in general, it is most definately, not cool. Perhaps if ppl were doing things like a 2ZZ-GTE conversion into them then there might be some genuine interest and some very good techincal discussion going on. Until then I have to sit here with my newbie bullshit filter on cringing everytime someone posts about how cool they'll be drifting in a Aus-Spec AE86... just my 1.07 after-tax cents...
