the RG pistons are flat top as well and still have the flycuts on the piston. dome top pistons are aftermarket. well that is the case with the 18RG that i have anyway. i could be wrong. i am not really willing to use the 18RC pistons to test the theroy. i dont want to have to replace the head. also off topic, does altering the cam duration alter the compression ration of the engine? i know it alters the volumetric efficiency, and i have had mixed feed back about the compression ratio.
