ok let me say again the piston crown protrudes from the block then the piston is at tdc on an a rg piston drom the ones i have seen at a guess 19mm 13mm and 7mm .7, 9.2, 8.7. the 18rc piston does not protrude out of the block at all and is flush to the machined block surface. the recessions in the pistons for valve clearance begin further up on the piston on the rg motors so i see that with the standard cam profiles it would be impossable to hit the piston. The std rc is 8.5:1 and the rg looks to be a larger combustion chamber than the rc so i would presume the cr would drop slightly arround 8.2 sounds plausable presuming the rg rods are the same (which they are arent they?)
edit: it would run pretty crappy with the std cam profile though, i dunno about on boost cause i dont know turbos at all
