i have remote start on my MANUAL car. and i have had no problems.
with mine, you attatch some wires to the ingition module, and the brain unit does the rest. also, my alarm came with a handbrake wire, so its not meant to start if the handbrake isnt on. but i tihnk we did this wrong coz i tested it in a car park and it still started.
i also tested starting it in gear, and it doesnt drive off, it stalls.
i have also found that the remote start takes at lesat 3 trys to start on a cold morning. but my car is hard to start on a cold morning anyway.
btw, i have a 4afc, so maybe the carbie is what makes it difficult to start. coz my mate had it on his 180(efi), and it started every time no problem.???
