In theory yes but just be sure of what you get in the "package". It will also be far easier for your mechanic to have both your car and the 1/2 cut side by side so can see how it all fits together. There will always be something that is missed in a "package" that may be a real pain to source later.

If your paying someone to do the job then, like others here, I strongly recommend you pay the extra freight and get the 1/2 cut. Above all, you can start and run the engine when you get it so your mechanic can check compression and for possible signs of head gasket problems. Believe me, it's devestating to get the conversion finished only to find the engine is a dud. You are then up for the labour cost to replace it, not your mechanic.

Also, if your mechanic (or auto electrician) thinks the wiring is going to be a simple 'plug-in' job he is sadly mistaken. At $60/hour he will chew up a lot of time just working it out let alone phyically doing the connections. If you would like some advice then feel free to give me a call.
