What does the ID plate say it came with?
5M-E or 5M-GE ?
It sounds like you have an Aust version with an engine conversion.
Either way, the best way to do timing is with your ear.
Move the dizzy until she sounds like she is running the best.
Then take her for a drive, she could be up on power, or down.
As for the 'bridging' of the test connector that you dont have, removing the vacuum line to the dizzy has the same effect.
What you set it at is determined by what fuel you use.
