AFAIK, it's illegal to have the car running with the keys in the ignition without a licensed driver sitting at the wheel.
As for leaving the car in neutral, I have a turbo timer (yes, same argument about legality), so my car is always left in neutral when I park.
I'd love a remote start alarm for those cold mornings.
