As for the what d-shiznit wrote about the compressor wheel slowing down and makin the so called "chika chika" noise when the throttle is closed, isn't this due to the wastegate, BOVs and wastegates work differently, BOVs release pressure in a sudden rush where as wastegates release pressure via slowing the compressor wheel down, thats why investing in a BOV can usually maximise the lifespan of a turbo, most if not all turboed engines come with a stock WG. Someone please discribe this in better detail or correct me so I might get a better understanding. NO NOISE IS GOOD NOISE!! [Report message to a moderator]
