firstly i would like to ask why are all the cars paltes covered? i mean im sure mnost of you have met each other at cruises, events and what not so you all have seen each others plates, so why cover them?

please forgive my ignorance but it stumps me Confused

even if people see your plate how do they know who you are, where you live, etc, etc unless they have access to RTA info!!!

but to answer the Q at hand, i would try and leave it in the middle. does the abr have a section across the front bottom? if so then put it there.

also technically you have to have the front plate on by law, but its rare that cops do anything bout it cause the more important one is the rear. thats the one for cameras (picture NEVER taken from in front no matter what anyone says), also when cops have the radar they cannot read your plate, thats why they radio to the cop car ahead and describe the car or give chase.

i drove my car for 2yrs with no front plate (had no front bar) and never got asked bout it yet pulled over many times. just comes down to you and your luck/cop being a prick.

hell i had more trouble filling up petrol then with cops Laughing 'where is your front plate? you cannot fill up petrol without your front plate!' show him speeding fine i got 5min ago and state 'the cop didnt care so why do you? the back ones on so turn on the pump!' walk off...

i would probably leave it on the dash for now till you get pulled over or someone says something. also what the plate does cover will be max 100x300mm (is that how big they are?) and will cause your cars temp probably to increase by Rolling Eyes 2-3deg ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo OMG

On my landcruiser the plate positioning made the difference between over heating and normal running. The car rarely did more than 60 mph(the bonnet would fly up) so i moved the number plate to as far downwards as i could.
