to improve on the factory items that are inferior due to manufacturer cutting corners to produce a car at affordable levels to the market. and because I enjoy doing it.

in safety yes, for the fun of driving a well handling car yes, in terms of value per dollar probhably not.

11. Why do you think car modifications are so popular and in what age groups?


It depends what you consider a modification..to me a big wing and some decals are not a mod, this seems to be a popular approach amongst 18- 25 yearolds but really its more an indication of the market availability of these parts to these age groups now days..when I was that age most items were manufactured by the owner and aftermarket parts werent as available so we concerntrated more on engine and suspension development. I think changing the handling and engine characteristics of a car usually come later in the age group now days as people who are genuinely interested start to learn more about what they can do over and above a big exhaust and cut springs.
