put a fuel pressure guage on the lines after the pump and before the fuel rail and check the pressure...... the vl pump should be giving it good pressure i am using one of them to, on both of my cars... if you cant get a fuel pressure guage take the line off and put it into a 600ml bottle and see how long it take to half fill when cranking over... if it takes forever to fill half way then your pump is lazy
