I have no idea why they used 10mm. They must of just used some scrap somewhere to build the tanks.
Being close to the ground or near the back of the car means shit when you look at all the plastic tanks fitted to cars from the factory.
Also take the v8 super cars for example. They have much more chance of being rear ended at high speeds than any street car. The tanks in these use materials thiner than 5mm.
10mm walls has been scrapped from under some noobs forskin
