river Forums Junkie Location: Land of Oz Registered: June 2004	Re: P Plater Curfew Mon, 19 July 2004 22:31 Hi, The problem is that there is the small number of dickhead P-platers who have had their license for only a short time and carry on like they're masters of the road. They think they can handle every situation with poise and aplomb - yet they can't. However, the P-plater has paid for their license and it would be a limit on their freedom to prevent them from driving whenever they desire. I doubt it would get passed through, but, if it did, I would hope the government reduces your license, registration and insurance fees seeing they've effectively banned you from driving for 40% of the time. Some old people are annoying when they drive. Some drive too fast and others too slow. IMHO I would fine a person doing 20ks under the limit as much as someone going 20ks over the limit. I hate being caught behind some knucklehead doing 40 in a 60 zone. Gender limitations? That'd be interesting to implement. I'd prefer the government to slap massive (and, I mean MASSIVE) annual tariffs on large 4WD vehicles that are used only in the city. seeyuzz river [Report message to a moderator]
