where i come from, i dont know about colour blind, but descriminatory, yes.
if you were above the age of 30 to 35, you could drive around in a car with no tread on tires, bugger all brakes, no gas left in shocks, cracked springs, no exhaust half way down the car, no handbrake left, and no seat belts and not get pulled over....
i know, my dad did it for like 5 months in his land cruiser ute
stupid maybe, dangerous, not so much, as it was never driven at all fast....
but if you had a p plate in your window, within 20 mins of driving up the street, you would be pulled over, and instant roadside roadworthy test...
i know ppl who got 4 canaris in a row, like 2 days after the old one expired, and no changes were made.. no work was needed to get them back on the road, but it still means that ur car is off the road for like a day, and it still costs...
we even got a canari for brakes and suspension bushes when they were replaced just a week prior, and the new roadworthy certificate was still valid...
lets just say that the constable cockhead that did that got a true ass wooping from his superiors, and he was not allowed to bother us unless we were doing something illegal, no random checks were allowed.
the moral of this story, let em fuck with u for a while, untill they make the mistake, then make sure everyone knows about it
ps, thats why they are called p plates...
they stand for " Police, Please Pull me over and be a Pain in the arse!!!!!"
and yes, i know there are plenty of good ones out there, u just dont often hear about it..
