it's fun to play with the K motors, but if yu are after "performance" they will never be "quick".. but they do give a race car feel  ..
do 3TG's rev to 8 grand?
anyway, if the 3K you have has good rings and pistons, then maybe have a play with it.. the reason for 4K block with 3K head is instant 10:1 CR.
2K is a 1L motor, K is 1100. K's came out in KE10's. some K heads are bigports also.
2K head woiuld give you around 11:1Cr, but there are not many 2K's floating around.
carb depends on the cam and the rest of the setup. no point having a big carb if you have a bad exhaust or a stock cam.
the escort 32/36 with 26/27 chokes is not good. the primary chke is too large.. look for a euro webber from maybe Fiat, with 22-23mm primary choke.
yes you will need to rejet any carb.
i have a straight runner K manifold and it still makes abut 100HP. but they are restrictive.
what cam? what do you want it for? i like high lift cams, but over a certain lift, the stock springs will bind. about 430thou lift will maybe bind. i have 435, but wuld like to go up to 450thou lift soon.
you need to design the engine as a package.
