fuck it! if theres rust in the body dont touch the thing
im up to my 5th MK 2 and if the body is rusted there is no end to the amount you can find 
if the tailgate is heaps rusty it means water has been coming in for a long time and there will be rust in the back, you need to find one with only a little tailgate rust not alot.
and the problem is not fixed by rustproofing the problem is that toyota used a dry seal for the back windscreen which is not very water tight (hence they all rust)
if you find a good one make sure you get it sealed with that windscreen scholastic crap.
Supras are awesome cars and i totaly recomend them but save your cash and get a good one otherwise you will waste alot of time and money fixing recuring rust
places to look: under the rear flares (at the bottom)
around the tail lights,
at the bottom of the windscreen,
at the top of the front pillars
at the top of the rear pillars (under the tailgate)
