I have been using NGK BKR6-ES spark plugs gapped to .8mm and have had no problems with spark whatsoever.
I have used quite a few oils so far as well but it hasn't been running long enough for me see any differences if any they made Have used 10w30, 5w40 Repsol and Penrite HPR40 I think it was. (much thicker)
I have changed the timing belt but I don't know the part number sorry. I would ring Penrith Toyota as they seem to know a bit about the import toyotas and parts for them.
