Why would you need one?
A wastegate on a turbo makes the exhaust gasses bypass the exhaust wheel of the turbo... it needs this because the more boost going into your intake the more exhaust coming out to the turbo... without a wastegate you would frequently push your turbo out of its efficiency band and cause damage to it.
A superchargers output is pretty much limited by the RPM your engine can go to... most superchargers have an electric clutch which the ECU can use to turn the supercharger off in overboost situations, although if you're pushing the supercharger that hard all the time its not good.
