You need to use an EARLY 21r, which has round ports. I wasn't even sure that we ever got it in Aus - most seem to be the ones with the square ports, which I belive is the equiv of a US 22R head.
Also... to use the 20R head on an Aus 22Re, you have to have it milled a fair bit because the 22RE we got in '85 was the latter 22R [square rocker cover front instead of sloped back, slightly higher comp, a few other differences] which has a different head anyway.
