Stefan, are you 100% sure about the early 21R? I thought the early 21R wouldve been like the early 22R, square intake ports, round exhaust ports, sloped rocker cover, no holes for the efi intake manifold.

The difference with the 20R head is that the intake ports dont swirl like the 21/22R. Although, the 20R has smaller valves. Apparently there is an increase in compression, but how big a difference it makes, is not that big a deal.

If you were to put the 20R head on the 21R-C we got in australia, then you would have a decent combo, as the 21R-C has the open combustion chambers w/domed pistons. Where as with the aus 22RE, its the later style as Stefan said, has closed combustion chamber, flat top pistons, efi intake manifold wont bolt up with very serious modification.

If you want to see something cool, check out the 20R with twin turbos and massive freakin plenum chamber.http://66.223.106.32/celicaforums/index.php?showto pic=2391

Cheers,
James
