1) From memory, I used Hilux mounts and chopped them down. Remember that the engine sits at an angle. Can't remember the actual angle though. 14 degrees?
2) Yes, unless you want to modify the mid-sump. It'll need a LOT of modification though and I'm not sure it can be done.
3) The swaybar and front-sump fight for the same space.
4) Just buy a second hand one. Rebuilding a turbo would prolly cost more than the engine itself. 
5) Toyota sell the bits. Castle Hill and Penrith Toyota are both good in this department. Remember, Toyota reuse a lot of parts so many of them can be bought from your local shop if you know what to get. I think the timing belt is the same as the 4A. Oil filter is same as 3S and 1MZ. The list goes on.
6) Well, the 1G-GTE was heaps lighter than the 21R-C. But it is longer. The only way to know is to get a front/rear weight split before and after. Now we just need to find someone who's just about to do a 1G swap to take these measurements for us............
