I've disconnected the bar and removed the link(just one side) and adjusted the cars height (floor pan to ground) as best i can with 1 person and 1/2 a tank of fuel. - then went for a seat of the pants road test. I have to say that it does feel quite nice to drive. I'm not running super stiff springs (the front being 5.3kg) and the turn in better. The cars alignment is out, but the front end of the car does feel more direct with less initial understeer. I'm picking up some adjustable sway bar links to minimise any preload - so now that i'm happy with the handling without the front bar, connecting the front bar again with what i hope to be 0 preload ... *fingers crossed* I test drove an S2000 and i've been using that as a mental reference. if i can get this car (AE86) to handle like that.. with that sorta progression and balance.. i'd be plenty happy.
