20 v is more advanced, vvt, quad throttle bodies and 5 valves vs 4. Both are bloddy good motors, either way u will be happy whatever motor you choose. 16v has parts easier to get, 20v has more power on it. If you go 20v and have the money, go for a black top, they are a little better (map sensor and more recent). I had a 4age SX and upgraded to 20v silver top and did notice the difference (20v is faster) but i still love the 16v, and ifi could do it again i'd rebuild a 16 v with an after market ECU and quad throttlebodies on it.
