100W isnt all that much, its probably about 60RMS or so if you have enough power from your head unit to achieve that.
As for the extra $60...i'd say yes. Although if you want quality you wouldnt bother about $60 
PS before you buy them from the store, look on ebay , should be a few good deals on there. Also, if you get alot of stuff from the one place, say strathfield car radios, try to price match it with another store like Ryda or something. (never pay full price  )
