toyota axel material grade Tue, 10 August 2004 03:46
Hi People,
Just wondering if anybody maybe able to shed some light on what grade material and heat treatments that toyota use in their axels, specially an early model AE86 axel. Reason for asking is that im doing a fractures and failure analysis on an axel that i snapped and will be doing a spectroscopy analysis using a scanning elctron microscope, and would like to know what it is "supposed" to be, so any information would be appreciated.

Regards
Logan
