Thanks Garth - I can't remember where I got the 4,000 number from but it's been discussed so many times in the past and when I first began looking into Sprinters about 2 years ago ... um, I think Bill's site may have quoted that figure somewhere although I could be wrong.

I don't remember anything about this. I was buying Wheels and Modern Motor in my mispent youth when the Sprinter came out, and I don't remember anything mentioned about limited/unofficial imports of any performance versions. And I have a pretty good memory. Smile

As for Aussie GTV's, the Twincam forum claims the number to be 80:

Although in real life, I've ever seen only about 3-5 being sold on these forums. Some of them came with the rare rear drum end with an LSD - I believe the diff was an S series at that and not a T.
