Yeah I did all that when I bought my sprinter in May this year..... be wary of around the windscreen is all i can say!!!!
Only found out when the car went to get sprayed when they took the windscreen trim off and popped the craked windscreen out that there was rust all along the A pillars...mainly surface, but enough for my heart to jump into my mouth!! My sprinter apart from that is rust free... amazing... well probably not since it was pretty much a country car! The rust around the windscreen was because of the windsceen being replaced at sometime or another and them just Black Urethaning the trims back onto the frame and the windscreen.
I paid $1100 for it unreg!! But the body is in heaps good condition only had to smooth out a few dings, now its like a babys butt! Waiting for some time so I can send it to get a GZE in it....anyone know a good place in Queensland? I was most likely going to get it done at Rollin Importers, they are good guys and have done this sort of conversions into sprinters and other rwd corollas of the same era!
