I looked thru the old forums, to no avail - hence I am re-posting.
Do most of yous with the boosted cars have a BOV ? If you do, is it an atmospheric one or recirculating one?
Also, whats that sound 'pss pss' that i hear from the 1G when it comes on boost? Nark said it was a compressor stall - what the hells that ?
Lastly - a mate with a CA18DET has a 'wastegate' - what do they do ? Sounds just like BOV... does it do the same thing ?

Compressor stall:
"Pressure is forced in the opposite direction into the turbo when the throttle is released, this causes a compressor stall and the turbo stops spinning when changing gear, resulting in a delay in initial pick up."
