the wrecked RA40+1G-GTE that i got my hardware from had the relay and current limiting resister ibehind the left kick panel - put there by the sparkie who did the transplant.
there is a round 4-pin plug AND a smaller 2-pin rectangular plug between the relay/resister unit and the engine/ECU loom - the ECU side of those plugs (in my loom) had a new power line put in direct to the battery - but i'd say a factory install has power coming from the large white cable that runs thru the body loom from the alternator/battery.
you could adapt something from a post-5m car (i think 6mge has current limiting in the the FP relay, 5m doesn't) so MX8x cresidda might be a useful donor. again, check passenger kick panel as well as engine bay.
the original source of my 1G-GTe was an MZ soarer
do you want a pic of the relay/resister pack? PM with email add to send to and wether small/large files are suitable.
