They are $109 from whiteline!

What I want to know is what kind of stress is on one of these?
Is a hollow item ok for just a street car and do I need a solid for a race car? What do I need?

All depends on the wall thickness, diameter and steel alloy used.
A higher grade steel hollow bar will be stiffer than an inferior solid bar.
A hollow bar with a larger diameter will be stiffer than a solid bar with a smaller diameter using the same material.

Most race cars with a good suspension will use the appropriate type of hollow bars. Hollow bars are lighter.
Generally solid bars are used because they are cheaper.
The centre of a solid bar does not provide any strength in bending.

A properly designed bar will only bend at the maximum load required to transfer the appropriate weight to the unloaded (inside wheel) when cornering.
