that timing case rattle can be the lower tensioner not getting (enough?) oil pressure, so when the engine is alow idle or low rpm, it doesn't keep the chain under correct tension.

are you sure the water pump and/or thermo clutch on fan are OK?

when you replaced the chains and guides, did you also replace he sprockets?

btw: idle should be 600rpm or higher - otherwise oil pressure at idle might be too low (unless you have a new pump)

easy fix? tried using thick engine oil?
