firstly sorry for the double post.
I also don't have any photos sorry..
I don't think you can use the aw11 drive axles because ae101 sc gearbox (diff area) is wider, from memory, also the ae101 axles use a short lay shaft so that both swinging axles are about the same lenght, important in the front wheel drive application.
The ae101 axles are also the biggest I have ever seen, even bigger than the ones on our WRX STI RA (which brake often, but thats 350HP..)
I don't even know if I tried the standard aw11 shafts I must have because before i woked out how to shorten the ae101 ones i was getting desperate, I would have tried them, they just must have been very different, The ae101 hub and aw11 must be the same as I had no difficulty there.
As for leeking oil, I have not had this, as well as drilling the hole through for the shifter shaft, I bored it wider at the out side lip so I could fit in the oil seal. I used a peace of round bar that was the same diameter as the bearing faces on the shifter shaft and drilled a hole throuh the bar to mount a lathe tool (high speed carbon steel) bit, adjusted the lathe bit till it cut the right diameter hole and spun the bar in a hand drill, boring a nice concentric area for the seal easy.
