KE20's don't survive crashes, althougha full cage might keep the bits together for longer Wink

half cage mostly just roll only, unless it was well designed and tied into rear 'important' points.. even then wil only stiffen up the rear of the car.



That's what I meant - a half-cage only stops the roof from caving in when you roll. It does nothing in a frontal, or most side-impacts. A PROPER integral cage would survive most crashes, regardless of how the car disintegrated around/inside it. May I suggest mounting the seat onto the (full) rollcage?
