having had a AE86 at WRC level rallying {perth ,91}using vented brakes and the original jdm spec caliper was enough for us , so I cannot see anyone needing 4 spot calipers for anything greater than serious track work only or top level rallying, after saying all that my new car {AE86} uses hilux calipers and we have trouble getting heat into them, using std rear jdm discs and single spots, at the time I was looking to upgrade my brakes jdm discs and calipers were hard to come by, however both sons have now come by jdm front disc brakes and calipers for $400 far cheaper than any brake conversion and still keep struts original!!.
