Yes there is a difference. They look sort of the same, same design. But a brake caliper made to fit over a 20mm thick disk is always that much wider than one made to fit over a 9mm disk. They are very similar brakes also fitted to RA60 Celica, YR20 Tarago, Cressidas and lots of stuff from that era.
If the GT Apex vented brakes are made to fit in a 13" wheel, I would rather get the Celica brakes and make them fit. As they would be cheaper, and are made to fit in a 14" wheel.
