OK, oil on plugs + no smoke = impossible.

When you say there's oil on the plugs, do you mean the TOP of the plug (ie the bit you attach the leads to) or the BOTTOM of the plug (ie the bit inside the combustion chamber)?

And if the latter, are the plugs actually wet with oil, or just black?
