rattle gun is definately the easiest option....
another method is to put a steel pipe over your ratchet handle, rest it against the ground on the passenger side of the vehicle, and crank the motor over for only half a second or so. The starter motor is powerful enough to crack that first 1/2 a turn that is such a bastard to undo with your hands/feet etc
As mentioned before, give the head of the bolt a few good whacks with a hammer to dislodge any corrosion on the threads first.
