Yep, you just bypass the external regulator. As far as I remember There are 2 wires that need to go from the chassis loom to the alternator (it has a 3 pin plug, the 3rd one comes from the power out).
Oh yeah, 4ages have the alt on RHS(mine does anyway) wheras the 4AC has it on LHS... I dont think an alternator will fit among all of that crap on the inlet/outlet side of a 4ac. Also fitting the c pulley to the ge alternator and using ge brackets will very likely skew the belt ie. the pulleys will not line up.
