The most expedient alternative would probably be to cut the floor out of the boot between the rear rails. You could fold up a new tank and bolt it onto the rails, which will be strong enough to hold it (the boot floor sheet metal mightn't). But the flanges on the tank which you bolt through will have to be strong too, enough to support ~75kg all day with road bump shock and vibration etc.

I think that the tank should be engineered and it has been suggested that the tank should be designed to incorporate crumpe zones to prevent rupture in an accident (vital given your tank location.)

The early model rear lights/filler/bumper won't bolt to your car.

The filler could be redirected to the tank from the rear quarter panel but it'll encroach on your subwoofer enclosure design. The rear filler design would anyway as it protrutdes ~20cm forward of the inside surface of the rear light housings.

What size (L) is your enclosure?
