The engineering workshop contracted to "re drill" the flywheel, has simply elongated the original 6 bolt holes. Each bolt hole had to be elongated 1.76mm outward from centre. We were informed that there are standards, which dictated that we could not drill between existing holes. However if the holes had been filled/plugged, there would have been no dramas in re drilling. The job is done now, with the flywheel/clutch and pressure plate mounted to the engine. The bellhousing has been mated to the Hi Lux 4 x 4 gearbox, just fabricating a new mount for the RH side chassis rail.

We had a couple of 18R flywheels to choose from, but the Hi Lux flwheel had recently been machined, and had an almost new clutch and presssure plate attached.

$280.00 plus shipping was the asking price for a 1GG flywheel. so $114.50 for spacer and elongating, I think we came out of this pretty well!

regards Chuck.
