toobs thanks mate.. thanks all yeah, nuts were threaded BAD, and got destroyed in the process till after 4 hours I got frustrated and had dinner The score: 1 x busted 3/8 drive 1 x busted gator grip socket 5 x blunt drills so... after they got very rounded I tried using a cold chisel and knocking then round. No good. Then tried cracking them with small drill holes = somewhat of a success, but still wedged in their bevels/thread. Then I tried to just grind some of the critical mass off and crack them again. NO LUCK! So I have decided to commit my studs to the dust and do whatever it takes to get my wheel off. Drill the center out huh. yeah my conclusion too... what is the best way to do this.. studs are so so so tough... edit: I aint' got a welder, and my clutch is busted, so I can't take my car anywhere... lol, so it has to come off! very annoyed with the tyre place though. my mate snapped a stud because of the same thing just taking a nut off.. except at least his came off [Updated on: Sat, 21 August 2004 14:25] [Report message to a moderator]
