2tgeu Compression Probs. Advice needed. Sun, 22 August 2004 04:06 Go to previous message
Hey guys,
Basically, 3 cylinders have 100psi, and one 120psi. Obviously the car doesnt really run because its on a gas research system that requires a good vacum and good compression.

I'm now at the stage where I sell the car or keep it.
The car doesnt burn any oil, water is good, no water in the oil. The engine was rebuilt 30,000km ago supposidley. So what do you think could be the problem? I'm going with a crack in the block or something like that.

If the block has a crack i wont be able to get a rebuild done i suppose.

What would the best option be?

Basically i need to fix just the engine. Everything else is fine. So i dont mind if i can just chuck out the old engine and just throw in another one. But would all the seals be fine to be run on gas? Also compression would have to be good too.

So what would u do?

I'll try get head and block numbers so we can match stuff up if need be.

Head, 17111-88266
Cant find the block code

What block does that head mate up with?

Most important thing is will the intake manifold fit with any other head?
